Maternity Action Plan (MAP)

The Maternity Action Plan is a holistic approach to combatting maternal mortality and morbidity and is a guide to implementing and accelerating the goals of Nurture NJ. The MAP provides a directional path forward in four critical ways to address New Jersey’s maternal health crisis. By using the MAP and advancing Nurture NJ’s goals, together we will make New Jersey the safest and most equitable place for pregnant patients to give birth and raise children.

Findings and Recommendations to Support Advanced Primary Care

The Quality Institute was engaged by the New Jersey Department of Human Services to conduct a market scan of primary care, including alternative payment models (“APM”) currently in use in New Jersey. The work included convening a workgroup of stakeholders and subject matter experts to inform the market scan and develop recommendations to support Advanced Primary Care in New Jersey.

Conversation of Your Life (COYL) Toolkit

The Conversation of Your Life (COYL) Toolkit serves as a comprehensive resource to promote advance care planning (APC) and healthy aging within New Jersey communities through key objectives. As an initiative of the Quality Institute’s Mayors Wellness Campaign (MWC), COYL aims to provide communities throughout New Jersey with resources, educational programs, and connections to subject matter experts and speakers on how ACP is an essential part of health and wellness.

2024 Year in Review

The past year was especially impactful at the Quality Institute across all three sectors of our work: policy, quality improvement, and community health. This Year in Review highlights our work and many of the accomplishments that will help New Jersey residents receive safer, higher quality health care, and improve access to care while strengthening the health of our communities.
